I was mislead about financial aid--promised a scholarship that they later told me I didn't qualify for because they didn't recognize the seminary my dad attended as an "acceptable school". So my advice, if you decide to attend, is to get everything in writing. Signed and sealed.

Go to any of the other Christian colleges that have regional accreditation. This issue is huge for a positive financial return on your spend for a degree.

I can only speak for the history and political science departments. I know I received a quality education; even with a bachelor's degree I have successfully debated PhD level historians and am now teaching high school level social studies at an exclusive private school. BJU has relatively low entrance requirements, but once you are admitted they expect you to maintain a relatively high GPA.

One thing I would tell you before you evenSep 14 2012Religion/Religious
One thing I would tell you before you even start looking at different universities, pray about it!! God knows exactly what school you should attend! If you go to another school b/c you want to, but you know God wants you to go to a different school, you won't be happy! (I have heard this from so many people!)

Another big thing when considering colleges....visit them! The best way to get to know a school, the faculty and the students is to see what they are like firsthand! That will also help you determine if the school is the best fit for you.

Also, look at the BJU website (bju.edu) and take a look at all of the majors offered and see if what you are wanting to do is there.

BJU doesn't have a very "strict" admission process, if you are considering applying, do! It's free online too!
